A recognizable 80's tune was Soft Cell's "Tainted Love" (above) which has been covered by a variety of folks in a variety of music genres - which most times failed to capture the allure of the Soft Cell's cover - yes, I am biased (heh), and yes, "cover" = as it was the original version by Gloria Jones in 1964 that still reins supreme - whatever incarnation it has been out thru throughout the decades, IMHO.
